Our Credentials

We bring a combined 80 years of advisory and search experience to boardrooms and executive committees across a wide range of industries. Approximately 60% of our focus is at executive and non-executive board level. 

On behalf of public, PE-backed and other privately owned businesses, we have placed over 250 individuals in Chair, NED, CEO and other senior roles in the last 10 years.* 

Fundamental to our board and executive search process is a combination of desk research (drawing on our proprietary database of almost 100,000 names and other online sources) with networking and intelligence gathering via third party market sourcing calls. 

In the last two years alone, we have spoken to 1,254 third party market sources occupying Board or ExCo roles and provided references on almost 800 Board-level candidates.

We have a long-established policy of supporting diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) in board and talent strategy. We are connected to several diversity networks. Since 2013, 44% of all Longwater appointments have been female and 15% from minority ethnic backgrounds.

Our research process is globally inclusive: we have identified and relocated candidates from mainland Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
